Rooty Hill School Murals

After seeing the captivating murals we created at Berala Public School, Rooty Hill Public School reached out to Blackbook Ink for their own transformative project.

They wanted to bring life to a long red brick wall overlooking the students’ playground, envisioning a nature-inspired mural featuring Australian wildlife. Our artist designed a vibrant composition featuring a Blue Fairy Wren, Kangaroos, and a Rainbow Lorikeet. To further enrich the mural, our talented team member from Burruguu Art incorporated Indigenous art elements, adding animal footprints within tree silhouettes. These silhouettes were thoughtfully placed along the classroom lines, giving students a visual guide for lining up.

Following the success of the first mural, the school commissioned us for another wall on the same building, extending the theme. This time, the artist skillfully painted two galahs above the bubblers, adding another striking feature to the space.

To complete the project, we also enhanced a smaller wall in the car park, ensuring the school’s outdoor spaces were visually cohesive and inviting.
